Juniper essential oil
Juniper is an evergreen dwarf shrub with a maximum height of 12 meters. Oval or conical crown, dark gray bark, brown shoots, thorny leaves. The homeland of growth is Scandinavia and Europe. The essential oil is obtained from the oblong, dark blue fruits of the cone berries using steam distillation.
Sweet spicy, resinous aroma with smoky and fresh notes.
It has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, insecticidal, aromatizing, anticyclonic, deodorant, diuretic, antirheumatic, healing, spasmodic, carminative, tonic, stimulating properties. It has a beneficial effect on the body for arthritis, itching from insect bites, colds, varicose veins, hangover, joint swelling, dizziness, poisoning, hair loss. Suitable for massage, bath and sauna. It is used for oily and problem skin.
For cold inhalation, saturate a tissue with one drop of oil and breathe for about 10 minutes. To enrich cosmetics, add 2 drops of ether for every 15 grams of base. For massage, use 5 drops for every 300 grams of base.
Forbidden during pregnancy and kidney disease. The dosage should be observed and a skin test done before using the oil.
