Melissa is a perennial herb, reaching a height of 130 cm. It belongs to the Lamb family and is distributed in North America and Eurasia. The island of Ceylon is considered the birthplace of growth. The essential oil is obtained from the erect stems and fragrant leaves by steam distillation.

Strong and citrusy, fresh, herbal-lemon scent with a slight woody undertone.

It has soothing, deodorant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, bactericidal, tonic, diuretic, regenerating, healing properties. It has a beneficial effect on the body with depression, insomnia, insect bites, reduced immunity, bronchitis, vegetative-vascular dystonia, neuralgia. Prevents the development of oncology. Improves the functioning of the digestive and reproductive systems. Suitable for massage and bath, problem and oily skin.

An ointment that can be made at home will help protect against mosquitoes, mix 10 drops of lemon balm with 50 ml of base oil and 5 drops of geranium, cedar and lavender each, before going out, apply the solution to open areas of the body. For loose skin, use frozen ice cubes with a drop of ether to cleanse your face. To enrich your cosmetic products with useful properties, add 3 drops of lemon balm for every 15g.

Forbidden during pregnancy in the first trimester, children under 6 months. The dosage should be observed and a skin test done before applying the oil.
