Basil essential oil
Basil is an annual herb from the leaves of which essential oil is obtained by steam distillation. For several millennia it has been one of the most demanded spicy herbs. Its stem is straight and branched, covered with dense leaves, white or pale pink flowers.
The aroma is reminiscent of tarragon, fresh and spicy, juicy and tart greens with a persistent sweetness.
